A defense official has stated that the MoD is currently investigating the potential security risks posed by Chinese vehicles, while personnel have been advised to refrain from talking about classified information in all cars.
Safety Guidance for MoD Personnel
In a recent interview on a radio station, Luke Pollard addressed claims that MoD staff have been instructed not to discuss secret information while riding in Chinese cars.
He stated that the ministry is “examining” Chinese vehicles within its vehicle pools, but noted that safety is a issue in every modern cars.
We have a fleet of tens of thousands of cars in the MoD and those vehicles account for a very small number.
